Saving Energy Is Real

A year ago that changed the luminaries of the Church that I attend. 18 Lamps, 8 4 tubes and 2 fluorescent tubes were each (in total, 56 tubes). The new tubes are more efficient in energy expenditure: produce more light with lower consumption. There were several reasons for the replacement. First, the earlier lamps were failing much, not lit all, especially when it rained; Second, the ignition system needed replaced again, which entailed assembling scaffolds, because they are 24 feet in height.

Finally, they wanted to save energy. New lamps were able to give us improved lighting, even more, surpassed the illumination in the case of the basement, because the new lamps have 4 tubes (the old ones had 2 only). When all are turned on, it seems the operating room of a hospital. Now let’s talk about the matter that concerns us: energy savings. After a year, 1.125 kW (KV) energy consumption was lowered to 945 KV.

The previous year $1,000 was paid by consumption, this year was paid $1.015. I wonder where are the savings, if we pay $15 more than last year? There comes the analysis. At the current price of the KV, we would have paid $1,900, if consumption had been equal to last year. This decline in consumption economizo us $885 in just one year! Recently we replace the incandescent bulbs that remained. We hope that action to save other 470 KV, only in lighting. Maintain current energy prices, we hope that the current year spending is $950. Demonstrated that you can reduce energy consumption in your own home, only by changing the old bulbs (spark plugs) incandescent by the new compact fluorescent bulbs. The energy expenditure will be between 12% to 10%, which will result in monetary savings. Perhaps you pay more money than last year, but it will never be the amount that you would pay if you keep the same energy consumption. By: Basilio Guzman author original and source of the article
